The Game, by Neil Strauss. The story of one man’s transformation from nerd to pickup artist. This is the book that started it all for me. I opened it and read it straight through in a single sitting. Love or hate it, it’s all true.

Influence, by Robert Cialdini. This is one of my favorite books. It’s a fascinating description of the subtle ways we’re persuaded to do things. Besides being one of the world’s top social psychologists, Cialdini is a great author.
