From a marketing standpoint, I doubt this will actually result in any sales, but it’s a cute example of a low-cost way to push your content onto someone else’s screen.

I stumbled over this page while searching for ideas on what to do with my unused modem. The idea of leaving it switched on, unconnected to the Internet but broadcasting a joke or spoof SSID, amuses me. Clearly, I have too much time on my hands and am not overly concerned about wasting electricity.
