Farewell, London March 12, 2007

Posted by Niels in : Personal , trackback

Against all odds, the London Art of Rapport was a resounding success. We brought eight stone-faced Europeans out of their emotional jails and the one we would have least expected fell in love with a woman he met in a bookstore. It was the most heartwarming story I’ve heard yet.

I’ve had a lot of fun here so far, but if I stay here any longer I’m going to break the bank. In a few hours I’ll check out of my company-paid hotel room, at which point I’m not sure where I’ll go. My plan is to somehow track down a hostel for this evening, then take the train to Paris where I’ll stay with a student from this weekend’s workshop. Perhaps Rome next? I hear Italy is very affordable.

oh im sure your having a great time lucky you. I love paris and rome london too. well one thing to save some cash in paris is to buy a Mobilis Carnet is about 10 tickers for Metro it cost about 10.90 euros. normally a one way ticket like 1.40 euros. then also if you plan to do the museums get the ParisVisites card. the food can be expensive at cafes and places to eat so you may want to get some stuff at the market. I think you may enjoy taking pictues of Le Sacre Coeur around sunset. its so amazing. im so jealous of you wish im there now. i have some info on italy too. just wanted to talk about paris since your going there first. one thing to keep in mind is to keep an eye on your wallet there are lots of pickpockets and be espically careful in the metro as there are lots of pickpockets there. My ex got mugged when we were there.
