I swear it’s not a vibrator November 6, 2006
Posted by Niels in : Personal , trackbackWell, I’m back in sunny California once again. My week in New York was great - good weather, good friends, good workshops. It was a little too cold to sleep on the street in a cardboard box, unfortunately enough.
Anyway, after an uneventful flight, I found myself sitting in the BART station at San Francisco airport when I detected a buzzing noise. How curious. I put my head next to my luggage. It did seem to be emanating from there. Curiouser and curiouser. I unzipped my suitcase. The buzzing got louder. I dug through my dirty clothes and pulled out my toiletries bag, which at this point was shaking quite ferociously.
At this point the guy sitting next to me scooted a little further away.
It turned out that I had forgotten to take the batteries out of my electric toothbrush, which must have been on all the way from New York to San Francisco. It’s good to know that my luggage can vibrate all the way across the country without raising any alarms.
