Asian girls - the gateway drug September 2, 2006
Posted by Niels in : Life, the universe, and everything , trackbackI have a friend (an Asian girl, as it happens) who claims that Asian girls are the gateway drug to homosexuality. In other words, the last girl a gay guy dates tends to be Asian. This only holds for non-Asian gay guys, though, because the theory goes as follows:
If you’re gay, perhaps you feel like you don’t quite fit into the mainstream culture, so you try dating someone outside your culture. Like a first generation Asian girl. Then you accept it’s not doing it for you, you’re just gay.
My friend bases this theory on a fair amount of anecdotal evidence. (She’s had some bad luck.) I choose to ignore its dubious veracity because it’s such a fun theory to bring up around friends who have caught the yellow fever. That and the theory that dating Asian girls is a culturally accepted form of pedophilia.
