Wherever will I go? Whatever will I do? July 27, 2006

I won’t finish my current internship until a month into the fall semester, which means I can’t take any classes at Berkeley.  So why go back?  I’m left with a lot of options for this fall.

Things I want to do:

As far as I know, I can decide how long I want to stay at my current internship.  The work is about the same as what I’d be doing at Berkeley, and I’m getting paid well for it.  Doing my research at Berkeley, however, would give me more flexibility in my hours and the chance to contribute more to the startup with Craig.  I’ve also been interning for a different startup in San Francisco that teaches social skills and relationship skills.  They’ve given me a lot of help and I’d like to become more involved with them.  My support network for self-improvement is much more developed in the bay area, in comparison to Ossining where I just sit in my room four nights a week.

Hmm.  Just writing this up has made my own biases pretty clear.  Gotta get myself back to California.  How soon?  That will have to wait for another post.

I actually think you need to come back to seatown my friend. Your last visit was way too much fun for that not to occur sometime again (and soon).

Hello Niels- I saw Beauty and the Geek for the first time today. You and your colleagues are to be commended! Great work! I really enjoyed the show!

It was interesting to see what everyone is doing after the show. I commend you again for trying to take advantage of being on the show.

I live and work in NYC and have started businesses from scratch and as Iknow you realize it is not easy. Most of the businesses that I have started are financial type businesses. I do alot of public speaking and would like to build a business around that at some point.

I am also interested in a new idea that you may be interested, which is not a magazine but close. If you are in NYC, I would be happy to discuss it with you.

I also have alot of connections in the magazine industry and would be happy to connect you once I heard more what you were looking to accomplish.

I am also intrigued by the coaching. That sounds like alot of fun. Particularly in a City like NY. I do a ton of UStravel and I find each City or area of the country to be quite different in this regard.

Anyway-send me an email if you get to NYC and would like to get together. Alternatively, I’m not sure where you are currently located, but I travel aot so maybe getting together there is an option as well!

I look forward to hopefully hearing from you!

Thanks and again great work on TV! Al
