You don’t know jeans May 20, 2006

A friend forwarded me an invite at 4am last night to the Underground Denim sale in San Francisco.  It’s a sample sale that sells designer jeans for hundreds of dollars off retail price.  Since updating my wardrobe is one of the steps on my quest to become a more social person, I figured I should check it out.  I got four hours of sleep, hopped on the BART and arrived at the site 15 minutes before opening.

An hour and half later, I finally made it inside the store, only to realize that there was no division between men’s and women’s jeans.  Oh no!  I immediately called my more fashionable friends to ask how to tell men’s and women’s jeans apart.  They suggested I contact the sales people for help, who informed me that, in fact, they weren’t selling any men’s clothes at all.

Damn.  I’m trying to learn to like shopping, but shopping’s not playing fair.
